We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Safety Advisor to join our Safety team based in our Sydney Head Office at Macquarie Park.
The primary purpose of this position is to lead and maintain a sophisticated safety culture across multiple maintenance/construction focused contracts, adhering to contractual obligations, standards and legislation.
-Review and update Facilities First policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Australian standards and legislation
-Coordinate training programs for the Contract Manager, Client Service Managers and Employees
-Coordinate and oversee all risk management activities
-Ensure compliance of WHSEQ systems in all facets of the contract.
-Complete site-based quality audits and risk assessments
-Undertake an internal audit program annually and act as the primary day-to-day contact for the outsourced WHSEQ auditor as it relates to the contracts
-Develop and implement policies and procedures
-Maintain Facilities First Quality Management Systems and document management system
-Liaise with auditors and external parties to assist with Facilities First accreditations
-Provide recommendations to the Contract Manager and Contract team on best practices and WHS improvements
-Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
-Minimum 2 years of experience in a Similar position
-Knowledge of WHS legislation and regulations
-Strong ability to write and implement WHS documentation
-Strong problem-solving skills
-High attention to detail
-Experience in the Facilities Maintenance, Trades or Construction industry
-Hold a current and valid Australian driver’s license
-White Card and Working with children check
-Unlimited Work Rights
-Covid -19 Vaccination
-Cert IV in WHS (or above)
